trans code - i'm just not with it tonite

<x-charset iso-8859-1>  i was wondering if anyone might know the trans code for my car. it's
in a '86 8v with the 5-speed standard. totally stock, afaik. anyone help
please? also, does anyone know anything about a 6th gear upgrade? thanx.
