winter storage questions????

The time is coming for the old rocc to go into
storage...well at least in a month or so!!...anyway
what kind of things should I do before I take it there
and how should I cover it...I am going to buy a cover
but what kind???  and is it safe to put a tarp over it
on top of the cover since it will be in a barn and
bird crap and stuff will be present???
