<x-charset iso-8859-1>Yes, the 88 CIS-E system has a knock sensor
Compression with a 1.8 head on the 9A block will be 10:1,
A knock sensor senses engine knock (say that 5 times fast) via sound waves
travelling through the block and then the computer will retard the timing
until no knock is sensed.
