BLIZZAKS!!!!!!   I realize this doesn't TOTALLY apply but I was in a AWD
mitsubishi with blizzaks on it and you could practically drive normal on
streets paved with ice.  No one else is going ANYWHERE and the blizzaks (of
course awd helped too!) grabbed VERY nicely.  I was amazed and I am from the
midwest (originally) where driving on ice was an everyday thing.  Check them
out sometime.  I'm pretty sure Goodyear carries them.  Pretty spendy though!
