charging prblms solved!--$%@! blue wire

Thanks to all that helped me w/ this.  It turns out that it was the
blue wire.  I don't know how, but the wire got cut, and one end
slipped down into the black sheath that goes over the red power cable
and the blue wire.  I couldn't see it w/o pulling back the sheath.  I
re-connected it, and now I have my alternator warning light AND the
system is charging.
