[non-roc] driving x-country! need place to crash!

<x-flowed>Ok, peeps.. my friend is trying to convince me to drive to San Francisco 
from Connecticut right after Christmas to arrive for New Year's Eve and stay 
a few days...

Unfortunatley I won't be driving the Scirocco, as it *still* doesn't start. 
I'll be taking my new '87 subaru wagon (!). Man, this thing is a SLOW beast. 
anywho..

I have a friend I can stay with in Columbus, OH, which will be my first 
stop.

My second stop, I'm asking y'all for a place to crash for the night. I'm 
thinking my second stop would be like umm... Somewhere in the midwest like 
Des Moines, or Omaha.. It would just be me and a friend. We're 20 and 19 
respectively, and won't cause a raucus. Maybe about December 27 or 28th.

I have a place in Denver to stay, but might be looking for a place in San 
Fran New Year's Day afternoon (when we finally crash!).

Just figured I'd ask cause we're all such generous giving, and caring 
people.

<sniff> <whimper>

On a more Scirocco note, I put some ghetto rims on my Scirocco today, and it 
is really amazing how much rims change the overall look of your car!! My 
non-running car looks better than it ever did when it was running.. I'll try 
and scrounge up some pics to post.
