cooling

<x-flowed>Hi, back to the list after a few years. I own an '87 Scirocco 16v. Recently 
car overheated and lost all the coolant. Checked all the hoses and ran 
coolant through the system to check for leaks. I found none. Refilled the 
resevoir and drove the car to see if it would overheat. It did not. It ran 
just a bit below middle on the guage. Checking the possibilities in Bentley. 
One of them is timing. I did install a TT cam sprocket that is retarded 4 
degrees. Any suggestions?
