When VW revamped the MK2 Scirocco in mid-84, they changed the rear
spoiler from the smaller unit found on the early car to an identical
model as the 16V cars. At this time VW also upgraded to JH code motors
and vented front brakes were at least available if not standard, as they
were on my (bought new) 85 8v car.
