The EXACT same thing is happening to my '84.....starts good cold, warms
up, won't start unless you stomp on the gas and crank the hell out of
it.  I also have a small fuel leak, so I was thinking it may be losing
residual pressure when the engine is shut down.  I'll have to check on
the fuel accumualtor.  Another thing....when it starts cold, it idle's
VERY rough, you have to keep your foot on the gas to keep in
running...then, after 30 seconds or so, it evens out and idles fine.
I've checked/replaced vacuum hoses, checked timing, cold start injector,
thermotime switch, it all checks out.  Any ideas?
