I dont know if this will work but you could check it out. 

While at the yard the other day I noticed a late model rabbit convert that 
had wing windows that would open . The interesting part was that instead of 
the hinges and handle being glued on the glass was drilled and the parts 
where bolted on . 

Maybe you could hybridize the two . Just a thought if you are very creative 
it could work .
