For cheap speed I prefer Datsun/Nissan Z's. They're fast and they handle
WELL (far better than my Scirocco). Volvo, Saab, and Audi turbos are fun
and fast, also as well as reasonably inexpensive. Mustangs really get
upset when a pedestrian looking sedan blows them off. :)

Most of the people who dislike Sciroccos have probably never driven one.
As far as the love component is concerned, we who drive these cars on a
daily basis have fun doing it. The Scirocco is just a blast to drive.
There is an indefinable something about this car. I bet the 16v is even
better.
