RE: [mk2 16v] Short shifters

I have the neuspeed version on the MkI that reduces side throw by probably
35%.  It is a major improvememt.  My favorite shifter mod though is using
the A3 selector shaft bushings.  It made all the difference in the world.

Also, I highly recommend the weighted shift rod.  Mine is a modified A3
style factory "corn-dog" rod that someone cut and welded to be the right
length for the A1 cars.  Shifting is silky smooth with the added weight,
good bushings and short shift kit.
