You cannot tell by the VIN.

Scirocco S features:

= cloth recaro style seats with separate bolster/head
rests.
= all chrome is blacked out.
= instrument panel is black.
= all Scirocco S are 5spds (no manuals).
= side trim and bumpers have red accents.
= all emblems (front VW grill emblem and rear
"volkswagen" and "Scirocco S" emblems) are red.
= dual side mirrors
