Re: Grinding, Scrapping noise on hard left hand turn what causes this?

hey matt, did you ever figure this one out? i managed to solve a bit
of the problem. it turns out that the rubber on my rims are too wide!
i was running 195-60-14s all around, and when i took a look underneath
by car, you could see the tires resting against the lower perch of the
strut. i still have this funny noise/feeling from the front where the
car feels like it's hitting a patch of ice in a turn and then catching
dry pavement...sorta "jumps" a little bit if i reverse with the wheels
turned left, then start moving in first while turning right. make
sense?

anyways, rubbing/grinding seems to be gone (or at least the sound has
been reduced enough that i can no longer hear it), but the "jump"
remains. any further ideas on this one? would a bad CV/axle/bearing
cause such an event? thanks.
