16V swap questions
Now that I am getting serious about swapping the 16V motor into my MkI I
have a couple of stumbling blocks to climb over.
1) Can I use the stock 16V manifold and down/pipe-cat combination and just
weld a three bolt flange to the cat???
2) Anyone on the list every stuffed a 16V into a MkI that might be willing
to give me a little advice???
3) I would really like to lose the alternator/compressor/boat anchor
braket and retain the power steering when this motor goes in.......what
brakets and pulleys can I use???
4) Did the 16V ever come without a/c but with power steering???
5) Since I have the head off it would be a good time to do a PP job....any
recommendations on a shop near the West Coast?
