You're right, it's really costly if you want to get 200+hp out of a 16v
G60. A lot of tweaking, etc. I know a guy who's selling a complete 16v
G60 motor (from fuel system right down to rebuilt tranny+Quaife) for
$7000US. That motor is unbelievable though. Dynoed at 230hp... just
fucking SMOKES. :) Is it worth it? Without going to nitrous, I can't see
any other way to get more power into an A1 for less money. Yes, you could
turbocharge, but it'll end up costing about the same $$.
