Re: fuel delivery- please help
I had a similiar problem if your car wont start at all its the relay. But if
the car will start its usually the fuel pump. When my fuel pump was going bad
my car would drive fine at lower speeds but if i took it past 50 or if i
accelerated to fast it would die. It turned out the pump was bad and i had it
replaced no problems since then. One thing you could try is to replace the
fuel filter and maybe try some fuel cleaner like Chevron with techron gas
additive. Another thing i've heard of doing is take a shot glass fill it up
with Automatic transmission fluid and pour it in the gas tank and change the
fuel filter too. Supposedly the ATF will lubricate the pump some the only
lubrication its getting now is from the gas. As for the location of the pump
its on the passanger side of the car on the side of the gas tank in front of
the trailing arm.
