Man I feel for you.

But I agree, its time to bail out.

Get ALL your stuff out of that car.  This
includes anything that might be hard to replace
on your next 16v Roc -like trim, screws, bolts,
you name it - take you fuses/relays too there
easy to pull.

Rebuilding the engine from a blow rod, is 
alot of fun.  You'll be needing a new block,
crank, rods, maybe a new cycl. head... etc...

I have only seen the insurance companys shell 
out the money to rebuild newwer cars that have
been in rough shape like yours is now.  And 
you may not get the chance to buy her back as
salvage / parts either -depending on your 
insurance company.

Just my opinion, but do not trust your
insurance company at all - they may tell
you now you can buy her back if they choose
to compensate you, but then they can always
change their mind...
