Fwd: Big Valve head on a 1.7L?

Hey guys,
     Can it be done?  I have an awesome opportunity to buy a big valve
head (off a Mk1 GTi) cheap.  Would it be a lot of work to bolt this
onto my 1.7l?  Would it be impossible? Or is it like a straight
forward bolt-on procedure?  I'm a little concerned with any
differences in the oiling area of the equation, do the oil galleys
line up?

It can be done, but the 1.8 head must be modified. Techtonics used to offer this service, but I don't think they do it anymore.

I am sure there are (competent) shops that will do this.
