Just a quick note about engine mounts.  I had a similar problem where the 
engine would pop back and forth when shifting gears and when letting off the 
gas.  Turned out the rear transmission mount Nuts had come off and were 
missing I am talking about the mount on the bottem of the car back by the 
fire wall.  Put new nuts and it sloved the problem.  Hope this helps.
