Clear Mk1 Front Turns

I'm looking for a set of those clear front turn signals to fit the older 
style front body, the ones that _don't_ wrap around. I have a 1980 rocco 
with a 76-style front end. Currently they are tinted to a blackish orange 
but I've always weondered about clear! I might be able to fabricate my 
own... its a simple design to cutout. What might I use to replicate the 
clear-but-not-so-clear plastic?

Any suggestions are good suggestions!
