16v '87 suspension/wheel upgrades

hey all,

finally back on the list - it's been a while, and i see that scirocco.org is
still under construction (need help?)

anyway, i just recently had my coolant system replaced (hoses, radiator -
thanks to corrosion, etc...) now we put a lower temp fan temp switch and now
the engine runs much cooler! great! but is cost me an arm and a leg... plus,
there were some stripped threads in the pump/alternator assembly (thanks
university auto - damn bastards! only go to german auto salvage if you're in
berkeley - tell them i sent ya!)

anyway, next week i'm in for some axle servicing (my passenger side bearings
are shot, so i figure i'll get the whole servicing, cleaning, regreasing..)

now here's the part that i would like input on...

i'm gonna get boge shocks and eibach springs put in for now. (anyone do this?
does this combo work fine for street purposes?)
later, i'll get the Borbet Type E 15x7 and dunlop SP Sport 8000. i assume that
this combo won't cause rubbing?

any feedback on this? (i know that this kind of topic comes up ALL the time...)
