Re: Clutch cable - cablooie



The clutch cable gets pulled back by that clutch lever. The fingers on
the clutch plate provide the springiness (at least most of it - the
clutch lever also has a small spring on it, which is the lesser
resistance that you feel before the clutch actually disengages). Does the
clutch want to go back to where it's supposed to be, but the cable is
binding? Is the clutch currently engaged or disengaged? I'd replace the
clutch cable if I were you, cutting it if necessary, being careful if
it's under stress, which it may well be if the clutch lever is trying to
pull it back but it's binding.
