Rich,

Yes, it's pretty straightforward.  The hardest part is
getting the lid to twist off.  Once you can get it to move,
no problem.  I've had some that were pretty stubborn. 
Pinch off the fuel lines, unplug the wiring harness, and
replace.  :)

BTW - what are you doing redlining a cold engine?  Ouch.
