Injection problems

A big thank you to everyone who wrote back about my problems!  I recently 
heard a suggestion from a friend that I'd like to run by everyone - he told 
me that I could buy a carberator conversion kit for my '78, thereby 
eliminating my messy fuel injection system forever and, much to my liking, 
simultaneously boost my hp 25% or so.  Does anybody have any experience with 
this?
