I'm pretty sure this won't work. The gear would probably be indexed
incorrectly, not to mention belt width, and teeth count/spacing.
My advice would be to buy one. EM Sport makes adjustable gears for
both 8v's and 16v's, and sells them for less then most other tuners
want. They have a machine shop, with computer controlled milling
machines...which is probably a necessity for a job like this.
