Electrical Problems

Hello, everyone.  I'm back w/ more problems about my 16V.  I was driving back 
home yesterday from work when I noticed that my car was acting a bit strange. 
 The tach was reading 4K at idle.  Although I dont hear any difference from 
the wasy it sounded before.  I got home and let the car idle for a while.  
The car begins to sputter so I fed it a lil gas.  All of a sudden, one of the 
heater hoses (looks like the letter "L")  broke.  There was a good size tear 
right @ the fitting.  I replaced the house and tried starting it up.  No 
luck.  I needed a jump.  I get the car started and allow it to reach normal 
operating temps. The tach still reads 4K.  The water temp and the fuel gauge 
is not functioning.  The oil temp was reading normal temps.  Power window on 
passenger side does not work.  Driver side works but very slow.  The central 
locking system is not functioning either.  Interior lights and radio work 
fine.  The car was working well just the day before.  I don't know what's 
plaguing my car.  Seems my car is cursed.  I'm quite frustrated w/ my car 
now.  But I can't stand the thought of selling it.  I've had it for a while 
now and I haven't had the problems I'm recently getting.  I apologize for the 
long post.  Any feedback is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

P.S.  I forgot to mention the following.  I couldn't get the car started 
after I turned it off.  I'm gonna need another jump.  And also, the pass side 
window worked when the car wasn't running.  The central locking system now 
made the sound I was accustomed to and appears to be working fine.  I find 
this very strange.  Thanx again...
