Subject: Philly area road rally/autocross! July 31st!This sounds like a call for-Guys, I apologize about not getting back to y'all about another Scirocco cruise/rally-type situation; I see that TJ would like to organize something for August 1st. However, I've got another suggestion. The SCCA Philly Region has organized a road rally on Saturday, July 31st. I'm guessing that these are a lot of the same roads that some of you have been talking about. I'm definitely doing this one. And it looks like it is a combination rally/autocross, too!
Rally Wan Kenobi-- aka: Scott Williams!
Les do the twisty, rocky and dirty roads again!Read the description that I got back from the Rallymaster and let's discuss... Timesawaistin', though...
P.S. If I read another part of the message carefully, it appears that we'd be meeting at Ken Buck's parent's house. Heh, this looks like a Scirocco event from the start!

I've been out of commission for quite a while and am jonesing for another event. Please advise. Very importantly, how many spots (assuming that there are any) are still open? I belong to a VW Scirocco club that has asked me to organize a road rally for them. We had spoken about doing the roads around New Hope, PA. So, this sounds about ideal. >> - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We only have a few registrations so far, and registration can be done on the day of the event. We'd love to have your club come out. The rally is above New Hope, in Upper Bucks County around Nockamixon S.P. There is a picnic for the Philly Region SCCA and the rally includes the picnic. Maybe some of your members will join Philly Region for some autocross. I see that you are in ProRally, so remember that this is a RoadRally on open roads with no high speeds. This is a Monte Carlo style rally. None of the roads are car-breakers, but you will encounter about 5 miles of unpaved roads in the 80-mile course. The NRIs will be easy to follow. There are no difficult signs to miss, and there are NO traps. In a Monte Carlo rally you will be given the exact mileage for each checkpoint, and the exact time you should be there. the registration fee (including picnic) is just $15.00 per car for SCCA members and $20.00 for non-members.
