this refers to the air flow meter. It is the part that sits just above the 
air filter and below the fuel distributer. There are 3 flavors:
60MM came on 82 (and 83?) Sciroccos and perhaps other cars. this is the one 
to get rid of
80MM flows better easy to instal and doesn't cost much
80MM with narow walls. This one is the biggest and best. You can find one on 
a 16V and perhaps other models.
You can get a couple of horsepower from switching a 60mm out for an 80mm
