do you have good airflow though the vents?  if so, check under the hood
and see if the heater valve is opening ALL the way (until it hits the
stop)  i just replaced mine and when i looked inside, you have to open
it about 3/4 of the way to get any coolant flow through it.  these are
super cheap, i got one for $14 brand new from TT.  also make sure that
dog hair isn't clogging up the heater core...
