the Scirocco 16V came in cat & nocat versions (1.8)
w/cat 129 hp
w/o cat 139 hp
The no cat versions were available from 1985-1988
The cat versions ended in 1992.

Yes, I'd have to agree with Owen. I'm sure that the euro Rocco has a
50mm
Intake manifold, cams, and lack of a cat. I havn't ever heard of a Rocco
coming with 2.0L stock engine anywhere.
