US vs. EURO 1.8 16V (123hp/139hp)?????

so the european 1.8 16V came with 139hp, right?  the US version had 123hp,
right?	so, what's the difference between the two?  the cam and the cat.  is
there any other difference?  what about the FI?  US came with CIS-E
KE-jetronic and with knock sensor ignition, so it can't be different ignition
mapping because the ignition timing is always as advanced as it can get
without knocking.  at least, that's what i think.  is the fuel distributor
calibrated differently?  theoretically, could i get 139hp with a euro intake
cam and no cat.  is this true?	what about schrick 268's and no cat...	would
this mean 150hp?
