shawn has a 9A tranny (3.67 final drive) and a .71 5th gear.  that's way
tall, but here's some figures i came up with:

9A tranny stock (.91 5th):

3400rpm------>  68mph
3600rpm------>  72mph

9A tranny w/ .71 5th:

3400rpm------>  88mph
3600rpm------>  93mph

hmmmm.....  i did notice that he had colored gauges.  maybe when the
needles were put back on they were not put on in the same place?
