Re: Fuel pump relay
Well,
Todday I made a switch which by-passed my relay. Once this was done, the
car started no problemmo. I would like to have a fuel pump relay in place
of the switch but I was wondering how hazardous is the switch in place of
the relay. I don't want the switch to burn on me or the terminals to catch
on fire. BTW, I used a rear defroster switch, my dad says there might be a
timer on the unit. Whatcha think about that? Is this okay?
My final thought for the day, I just recently replaced the relay (like
about 3 weeks ago), what could cause the relay to burn out. I don't want
to continue purchasing relays every month (unless someone has a few which
they wouldn't mind throwing away). I was contemplating whether the pump
was at fault or possibly the ignition coil. I'm at a loss for this one.
At any rate, off I go to work on the newly cracked rad. I guess this
engine swap took a little longer than expected.....
