  Hmm, I noticed with my stock wattage H4s that they were almost 2 amps
more then the stock sealed beams.  I am wondering if perhaps your wiring
is soo bad that the increase in amperage is really heating up the wires to
the point of smoking.  Do you have relays?  If you do, then I cant be so
sure why it would smoke with the H4s and not the sealed beams.
