Motronic is a newer more advanced system. My engine compartment in my opinion is
cleaner and superior to stock. It is a little different. Other than chipping the
ecu it's an integrated engine management system as opposed to and injection
system. It was also built for a 2.0 liter 16v as opposed to a 1.8, for those of
us running 2.0's. I didn't convert my car myself, the previous owner paid $$$$ to
have someone who obviously knew what they were doing to do it. I do know a fair
amount about engine management systems and can tell you for a lot of people it's
probably only worth the trouble if there engine is heavily modified or they can
get the system at a fair price and feel comfortable doing the work themselves.
