Your 86 Jetta came with 90mm flanges? Hmm, not mine.

You dont really need the seal kits but for $10 each, its money well
spent. Especially if you cant get the clips off without hyper extending
them. (bending them) They will swap easily. The hard part is getting the
flange compressed enough to get the clip off. Not hard if you have the
tool.

Why? The green tin doenst need to be removed, if you get the seal kit,
just remove the seal from the green tin and reinstall a new seal.

Its all the same between the 90mm and the 100mm flanges. 100%
interchangability.
