You may or may not have a fuel transfer pump.
if you have an early 84 you won't. do you have a large spare
tire?
if you have a spacesaver, then you have a transfer pump.
the transfer pump is easily accessed under your back seat
considering you have one.
you remove three phillips screws from your access panel and
pull it off.
you then remove the lines connected to that plate to your
fuel tank.
twist that plate counterclockwise and lift out.
there should be the pump on the end of that.
I had a bad one, it ran but it ran sadly.. sounded like
it wanted to die.. just wasn't able to quit all the way.
