   I think the oil on the #3 plug connector may be due to a leaking cam
cover gasket. It's not all that hard to replace. The distributor also has a
leaking shaft seal(kiss of death for the hall sender) I've seen rebuilt 16v
dist's, the cost is nearly that of a new one from Mark/Mike.
