Sorry I started something like this.  I was merely surprised at the number of
Scirocco owners who are also 16v Passat owners.  I thought this would bear
relevance since some members of the list have swapped their Scirocco 1.8
engines for Passat 2.0 engines, and therefore might have insight as to the
engines' differences.
