Keep in mind he's installing Quarts components. The tweets are
particularly sharp, and firing them off the glass is going to cause a lot
of shreaking.

I recommend that you test the sound quality at that position before
drilling. I mountend mine in my doors for that exact reason.

Depending on the EQ you buy, you may be able to control the timing of each
speaker. I installed a combo spectrum analyzer / equalizer in my car which
allows me to fire my rear 6.5" quarts coax on a slight delay with the
front. The result is high & low fill all around (which virtually
eliminates that bassy seperation of high/lows in most cars) yet bringing
the stage up front. Actually, with my Alpine unit (expensive, but worth
it) I have 6 programmed stages.. when I'm driving alone, I move the stage
right up to the driver seat.. while when I have company, I spread the stage
across the entire front of the car.

Just some ideas.. but definately 'test' the Quarts tweeters firing off the
winshield before installing. You'll know what I mean with those titanium
tweeters. If you really want to mount tweeters on the dash, I'de recommend
buying silk tweeters (not as sharp.. more soft, but MB Quarts does not make
em as far as I know)
