You really don't give enough information to make a guess as to what
exactly they'll be doing for $1500, but I'd say that's just a little
bit high.  Full machine shop cleaning, boring, tolerance checking,
balancing, reassembly should run well under $1,000 (about $700-$800ish)
A set of 2nd oversize 2L 16v pistons (83mm) should run you about $350.
New bolts, gaskets & bearings may ring up to $200ish.  How deep do
you want to get into this...?
