No!
VWs specify "Phosphate Free" coolant be used. Not all of the kinds that
are OK are Red, but most of the ones (all that I am aware of) are green.
Since the engine is part aluminum and part iron it will 'disassemble'
the metal based on a electro-chemical reaction.
Better to provide it as non reactive environment as possible.
