RE:Water temp light flashing
The sensor is in the coolant overflow (16V right?). And mine is also
problematic. But this is due to a almost invisable leak in the sensor housing itself which
shorts out the connection giving a false warning.Unfortunately though you
cannot just replace the sensor, you have to replace the whole overflow tank unit.
HTH.

Hey all, my water temp light has been flashing forever, there is lots of
coolant and no leaks (that I can see anyway). I remember I asked about this a while
back and Dale recommended just wiping the sensor area as a temporary fix. Where
is the sensor? What is going wrong. There is lots of coolant, it is still
reading normal water temps. I seem to remember something about replacing a sensor
on the oil cooler. I leafed through the Bentley but couldn't find any info.
Any help appreciated.
