Re: another question from the newbie nagger
Sorry, for not making it more clear.
The parts I need are for an 85 Scirocco.
>From what I understand the 85 Scirocco was the first Rocco to get a transfer
pump type fuel system. could be wrong.. but I know that the 85 had a
factory recall on the transfer pump for causing car stalls and shutoffs. I
believe the 84 had the older type system with the smaller gas tank that had
no transfer pump.
the 85 Golf has a transfer pump in it as well as the other kind of regular
fuel pump.
My question was....
are the fuel systems (meaning the tank, NOT up in the engine area, because I
know the fuel systems in the engine compartment are different) in the 85
Golf and 85 Scirocco's the same? ie, can the transfer pump and regular fuel
pump from both of these cars be interchanged?
