Re: top speed
You know its true our cars aren't fast they get to where they can get quickly
but theres only so much one can do with the way the came. Sure you can turbo
the heel out of them but then what, Lots and lots of up keep and maintenece
and tons a gauges to keep an eye on.
Now I was talking to a friend of mine about turboing my rocco so he took me to
his house and showed me what was under a tarp in his garage. OH MY LORD !
He had a 93 RX-7 hidden away in his garage that he's been working on.
New turbos dump valves timing fuel system and gutted cat and muffler system.
I thought my little sparcks coming outta my car was a problem he shot flames
up to 4 feet when he had his turbos turned up to 31 psi.
Now I had to drive the thing and boy I won't ever feel the same.
I maxed out his 5th gear in a matter os seconds Just over 175mph.
Now the little bastard is getting longer gears and a 6 speed tranny cause he
wants to break the 200mph mark kids nuts.
No that that story went to long Let me rant about the crasiest Rocco I ever
drove.
Kerrys VR6 Rocco He ended up maxing out at 156 mph. I though no way So I got
the chance to drive it. No bulshitting a stretch of road I test on I would hit
110 from standing start and have to slow down. I started the run with Kerry's
car with about 100 feet less then I would normaly start with and hit just over
130 with tons of gear and motor left. So if you really want to make a fast
rocco just get some welding tourches a schetch pad and a donor corrado.
Or lets not whimper and be happy with our little cars
I am I don't think I want to drive a car over 175 miles with out a sparco race
suit some nomex a helmet and a rollcage ever again !
You think I'm getting old with thinking like that .
I think I had to much sugar today Later
