7mm or 8mm plugs?

Hey guys (and gals),

The time has come to get rid of those crusty ass
coroded, spark plug wires. I figure I was going to
go with some hardcore Bosch stuff. But now I see 
everyone with 8mm plugs and I don't know what to do.
Is there a big difference between 7mm and 8mm, preformance and price
wise? I also want to get some
primo plugs too.
