I agree with Brett.
Also look into the valve cover gasket being the cause for most oil leaks.
Especially right around the cam gear where its been known to lean down
and look like its leaking from the head gasket.
FWIW, in my professional; opinion, ive never seen a head gasket leak oil
or coolant (for the matter) externally on a head. if they leak, they
typically leak into the oil passages, water jackets, the cylinders or a
combination of the 3.
