Well guys, I traded in the '84 Scirocco I was trying to sell in on a 
'89 GTI 16V.  Wow, it's nice and all original right down to the radio.  
The car is really clean, no door dings, paint is next to perfect.  
Though I will admit I miss the initial torquey throttle response of the 
8v, I sure do like the 16v motor.  First thing I found out when I got it 
home was that I wasn't getting full throttle. Fixed that REAL quick. 
;)   So far only one hitch, at 130k the transfer pump went out and 
had to replace it today, but everything is great.  I should have pics 
back and scanned soon.
