There are only a couple of options I can think of for that hose:

1. To the airbox(Breather Hose)
2. To the passenger fender to the expansion tank/Charcoal canister
    (Not sure which is where on a Roc)

How long is the hose?

In 84 they added an Idle stabilizer sytem - It may be a part of that too.
I'll scan the illustration from my bently and put it on a web site by this
afternoon.
